I am passionate about using the arts to explore social issues. I am a highly experienced drama facilitator and I have delivered workshops on a range of subjects including sexual consent, social inclusion, feminism, gender roles, drag and persona, LGBTQ+ history, creative wellbeing and mental health, anti-immigration raids, theatre of the oppressed, and theatre-making.
I specialise in creating workshops for women, girls, migrant and LGBTQAI+ communities.
Creative Spaces Workshop Assistant
I support Clean Break members (women who have experience of the criminal justice system) to explore creative skills such as writing, improv, acting and vocal warm ups.
I oversee the creative and artistic planning, development, and running of Futures, a weekly drama project for unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people in Croydon.
Community Outreach Coordinator
I managed the outreach and community engagement of the International Radio Drama Festival 2022 in Canterbury. This included planning and delivering radio drama workshops to different community groups.
I assistant directed an 8-week programme of workshops with refugee women to explore drama, music, and film, cultivating in a final performance and film shared at Opera Holland Park.
I facilitate healthy relationship workshops for young people. This has ranged from primary & secondary schools, colleges, SEN settings as well as for LGBTQ+ young people at The Outside Project homeless shelter.
I co-facilitated weekly digital workshops for patients living with dementia in multiple London hospitals. I created bespoke audio artifacts such as podcasts, songs, and oral history.
I facilitated workshops on LGBTQ+ History Month art history, Drama & Creative Wellbeing, and Sexual Harassment & Cyberbullying for secondary school students in South-East London.
School Programme Facilitator
I delivered 8-12 week programmes in secondary schools on inequality, leadership, and feminism. I engaged the young people to think critically about power, intersectionality and gender roles, creating their own art-activism and becoming trailblazers in their schools.
